This video about Wrong-Site Surgery and Antibiotics by a United State's medical student has what appears at first to be a good message with valuable information, but then quickly deteriorates with his pronouncement these mistakes are no one's fault. Is he kidding? The patient isn't in charge of surgery. This medical student offers by way of explanation that the doctor may just be overworked and therefore is excused from protecting the patient's health. So what if he's overworked? If the wage earner whose job it is to manufacture car brakes is overworked and does a bad job, the doctor who crashes his car due to brake failure will certainly blame the worker. Why then is it alright to excuse the doctor and surgical staff for allowing themselves to become overworked to the point where it affects their performance?Lombardi Law Firm
