Download the form, print it, fill it out and send it in.

Frequent Questions for Whistleblowers / Financially Ripped Off?:
- The grandchildren were the beneficiaries of a grandparent's life insurance policy. Their mother, who had power of attorney for the policy owner, "gifted" the $100,000 proceeds to one adult child, to enable them to pay cash for a home. Do the minor children have any rights or are they simply out of luck? The grandparent intended the $$ to be used for college.
- Can I receive compensation for being a victim of domestic violence? Can I receive financial compensation for domestic abuse even if the abuse was psychological and verbal but not physical? I have a statement from a psychotherapist stating I suffered from battered women's syndrome.
- How do I sue a nail salon for a wax burn? I was burned after an eyebrow waxing.
- Can I sue for personal injury if my airbags did not deploy in a car accident? I recently rear-ended a vehicle on my way to work. I hit him hard enough to deploy the passenger side airbag, but not my steering wheels airbag. However, the thing is that I found out that the vehicle has been in 3 previous accidents prior to mine and was brought to the dealership. But my airbag was not deployed and I injured my shoulder, neck, head, and right knee in the accident. Can I sue the dealership because my airbags did not deploy?
- I was buying a house on the condition that the electrical service would be fixed by a licensed electrician. Six days before we were to close, they called and said that the work would not be done before the closing date so they were going to place money in an escrow account to cover it.
I refused. I said we will close when the work is done. I was willing to wait a month. They said no. So now all I want is my earnest money back and they get to keep it because I didnt buy the house.
Was I wrong?
They did get a quote but it was not on an official form. It was on a note pad from a local electrical supplier with the name of an electrician on the bottom. I am not from the area and he is a contractor, so to me it looks like he had a buddy sign something. - I am retiring from a job I have held for 13 1/2 years, for a company based in California. I have almost 300 hours of accrued vacation time, and I gave them 4 months notice that I would be retiring. My company says that they do not pay out for accrued vacation if the particular state law does not require it. In this circumstance, does Iowa require that I be paid for this vacation time or not? Thank you for your help!
- I purchased a townhome 4 years ago so I thought. The builder just informed us that they are actually condos. He said they would have had to do something different with the ground to make them townhomes and was more money so he went the cheap route. Is the anything legally I can do? Can I make him buy it back?
- We put down a deposit for my husband to go on a bear hunt. It's a lottery drawing to get a tag and he did not get one. We originally discussed moving the hunt to the following year but then asked for a refund of the deposit. First the owner agreed and said he would mail it out on September 1 when he mailed out some other hunters' deposits. We never got it. He wouldn't answer his phone. When he finally did, he again told us he would send it out. Never got it. He wouldn't answer his phone. When we finally got ahold of him again, he accused us of "harrassment" and "threatened" him. I sent him 1-2 messages a day and said I was going to take him to court. Anyhow, he is now refusing to refund the money because of what we said about him online (we never said anything online about him or to anyone else). Do we legally have the right to get the deposit back? There is no signed contract.
