Young girl dies after routine dental procedure

Posted on Nov 30, 2014

Questions remain after seven-year old Tyneisha Bell died hours after visiting the dentist for a routine procedure.  Medical records show that she received general anesthesia followed by the extraction of three teeth.

Bell’s grandparents signed a consent form acknowledging the use of anesthesia and the possible side effects and five short hours later Tyneisha was dead. While Bell had asthma she suffered from no serious medical conditions.

It’s reported that Bell was put to bed later that day where she subsequently stopped breathing. The paramedics stated that her skin was pinkish, warm and dry and that her larynx was swollen. After they transported her to the hospital she was pronounced dead. Investigators have almost completely ruled out child abuse as a cause of death
