Webster County Grain Bin Accident

Posted on Jul 10, 2013

Vanessa Peng, a reporter for KCCI, Channel 8 published this story about a man from the town of Dayton who apparently suffocated and died after entering a bin. From the story the man entered the bin to empty it out. Of course with the heat Iowa has been experiencing he may have suffered a heart attack and simply collapsed inside the bin. An autopsy will need to be performed to know the condition of the man’s heart before knowing.

Webster County, 3400 block of Oak Avenue, Dayton, Iowa - As for workers’ compensation claims it will make no difference. If the farmer carried workers’ compensation insurance a claim simply needs to be filed for a work related injury or death and that should allow for a valid claim.
