Vehicle Pursuit in Keokuk County Ends in Wreck

A man was arrested following a high-speed police chase in Keota, Iowa on January 11, 2017.  The driver reached over 90 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone and ran through 10 stop signs.  The vehicle's driver attempted to jump 310th avenue and ended up wrecking the car.  Neither the driver or the passenger were wearing seatbelts, but both survived the crash with injuries.  No other victims were involved.  The driver was charged with numerous crimes, including felony eluding, driving while barred, reckless driving, speeding, failure to maintain control, and failure to obey stop signs.
