Vehicle Collision with School Bus Ends in Three Deaths in Louisa County

On February 28, Katherine Joan Newton was driving north on Highway 61 when she lost control of her car due to icy roads and collided with a school bus driven by Seth David Singleton.  There were no students on the bus, and the bus driver survived the accident.  Ms. Newton and her two passengers, Barbara Louise Higgs and Mark Anthony Kaltefleiter, did not survive.  The deceased were from Burlington, Iowa, and were all wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
