Tree cutter suffers long fall from tree

An Iowa tree service owner is hospitalized after falling 40 feet on the job.  Kevin Hardy, who owns Cutting Edge Tree Services in Mason City, was harnessed and helmeted when he fell from a tree in Charles City on Friday, July 18th.  Mr. Hardy was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, he has been treated for broken bones, including his pelvis, right clavicle, left scapula, and eleven of his ribs.  He apparently has suffered no internal bleeding or brain damage.
