Three vehicle collision near Ames, Iowa.

Garrett Chitty of Ames Iowa as merging onto southbound I-35 from westbound 30 when he failed to yield and hit the passenger side of a semi driven by Louis Thomas. The resulting impact caused Mr. Thomas to hit the vehicle in the inside lane driven by Gary Parsons of New York. Mr. Parsons vehicle traveled through the a bridge rail, rolled over and finally came to rest facing southbound on the west shoulder of I-35 south of Highway 30. Mr. Parsons died from the injuries that sustained in the crash.
