Texting while driving is dangerous and can get you killed.

Knowing when to put down the cell phone and to pay attention to the road and your driving will keep you alive. Here is a story from Iowa about a woman driving and texting. I read a lot of these accident reports and have to wonder why some accidents happen. This one is a good example and makes me wonder if it was a cell phone distraction. She's young and didn't seem to be paying attention, although it could have been the winter driving conditions. If it was the cell phone you need to say something to your friend. I doubt this young lady was paying attention. She may not have been paying attention to her driving, drifted over the north shoulder, lost control of her Ford Focus, went airborne and then fell 20 feet off the road. The car rolled several times, which ejected her (no seatbelt?) causing her injury and to be hospitalized. She's 18-year-old Alison Luft. The accident occurred on Highway 30 just after midnight. What a waste of human life. I'm sure her friends and family are all asking questions about "Why?".
