Speed Cameras In Cedar Falls-Waterloo

Posted on Aug 30, 2017

I think they work, they have definitely slowed the traffic down on I-235. People don’t like them, they talk about individual rights, but what about the accidents and people injured or killed? What about their rights? Speeding cars plus too many cars and not enough law enforcement resources equals lots of accidents.

From the Iowa Business Record we have this article.

"Waterloo council OKs using camera revenue for tax relief
Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier: Revenue generated by planned red light and speed enforcement cameras in Waterloo has been designated for future property tax relief. City Council members voted unanimously Monday to approve a resolution calling for the revenue to be kept in a committed police department account to reduce the city’s overall tax askings."
