Six people received minor injuries at Lost Island Water Park in Waterloo in the afternoon of Monday, May 16th at the Wailua Kapua water coaster slide. Apparently, a boat on the ride that was carrying three people got stuck inside a hidden section of the ride, and unaware staff members allowed another boat through, causing the two boats to collide. One person had to get stitches; the others received bumps and bruises. Park manager Eric Bertch called the collision an isolated incident but said staff will review safety procedures.
