Renting a trailer to save money may seem like a wise thing to do. It can be penny wise and pound foolish if you don't understand the risks leading to serious accidents and injury. Brooks Schuelke of Austin, Texas posted on InjuryBoard with links to several articles concerning roll-over accidents and serious injury that can result - including brain injury and spinal cord injury. It isn't that you shouldn't rent, but you should do so knowing how to avoid situations that lead to a roll-over. Namely how fast you drive and how the weight is distributed in the trailer. Also wear your seat belt at all times.
