The rainy weather Tuesday morning caused three people to be injured in two separate rollover accidents across the county.
The first reported accident happened around 10:20 a.m.
Trooper Robert Burns, of the Iowa State Patrol, said a 1999 Dodge Ram Pickup, which was being driven by Mary Chapman, 80, of Eagle Grove, was driving westbound on Webster County Road C56 when it lost control and rolled over.
The accident happened about one mile east of U.S. Highway 169.
Burns said the truck rolled over after driving over the bridge over the Des Moines River.
The truck rolled over, trapping Mary and her husband, Kenneth Chapman, 78, inside.
Rescuers from the Badger Fire Department had to use hydraulic extraction equipment to get the Chapmans out.
Burns said the couple wasn't seriously injured.
"I was down there, and got to talk to them as they were being rescued," he said. "Their injuries were minor at that point."
The Chapmans were taken to Trinity Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The second accident happened on North 15th Street just north of Floral Avenue, around 10:30 a.m.
Jensen Sandgren, of Callender, was heading south across the bridge near Gunderson Funeral Home in a Ford F-150 truck when he hit a slick spot, according to Fort Dodge Police Officer Matt Webb.
The truck went left across the road, knocked down a speed limit sign and part of a fence before ending up on the left side of the road facing north.
Sandgren's truck ended up stopping against some trees, and missed a gas line further down the hill.
According to the police report, Sandgren greeted Webb when the officer arrived on scene.
