Posted on Jan 04, 2014

In this unfortunate news report from Compton, California, a postal worker suffered severe injuries after being ejected from a parked postal truck by a collision involving a hit-and-run driver.   The car struck the postal truck and then left the scene.  Postal worker Lydia Ray was partially trapped under another vehicle after being thrown onto the roadway from her truck.

Other news reports indicated that this was at least the third similar collision involving a postal worker in California in 2013.   To date, there has been no arrest of the alleged driver of the blue BMW involved in the accident.   A case of this severity is likely to involve issues of permanent impairment, scheduled member compensation, wage loss, and medical benefits.
