One person died in Boone County rollover

A teenager died in a sing-vehicle accident west of Boone, Iowa in the morning of Thursday, May 8th.  Ashley McGrauth, 17, was driving eastbound on 198th Road.  She failed to negotiate a curve at the intersection with 200th Road and the vehicle rolled into a ditch.  Bowman, Mills, 17, of Boone, was partially ejected from the vehicle and pinned under it.  The other passengers in the car were Tristan Edberg, 16, and Michael Hans, 15.  Mr. Hans was treated and released from Boone County Hospital, and Ms. McGrauth and Mr. Edberg remain hospitalized there for non-life threatening injuries.  All four of the people in the car are current or former Boone High School students.  The accident is still under investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, and Ms. McGrauth is expected to receive some citations.
