Motorcycles and semi-trucks don’t mix well.

Truck - Motorcycle Accidents in Iowa - A semi and a motorcycle traveling on I-80 in Iowa near West Branch (mile marker 256 in Cedar County) collided just before midnight an August 4th, 2011. The 2007 Honda was driven by a 34-year-old man Scott Davis of Bettendorf. The semi-truck was a Con-Way Freight semi-tractor-trailer reportedly driven by Kenneth Simmons, 48 of Avoca, Iowa. Traveling east on Interstate 80 there was a passenger on the motorcycle, a passenger from North Carolina, reported to be Elibah Baht Israel Franklin, a 27 year-old. Responders from West Branch Fire Department, Cedar County Sheriff, Johnson County Sheriff, AirCare and Johnson County Ambulance all responded with assistance.
