Missouri Crash Takes the Life of Iowa Woman

A collision in rural Missouri took the life of an Iowan, Lynn Faker, 54. Three others and another five from a second mini-van were all hospitalized. The man accused of causing the accident is reportedly charged with several traffic violations and much more serious charges. The report indicates he attempted to pass on the shoulder and then pushed the one car into oncoming traffic.

Here is what is reported: "Court documents from the Audrain County Courthouse said Howdeshell performed poorly on a field sobriety test. However, when his blood alcohol level came back, it was zero percent. Howdeshell told officers he'd been using "Xanax." The Highway Patrol also found marijuana and a loaded .45 caliber handgun in Howdeshell's car."

The driver of this car would have had to have had eyes in the back of her head. They will toss the book at this guy.
