Lawn Mower Class Action Settlement
Posted on Apr 19, 2010
Class action lawsuit netted a cool $65 million in the settlement war chest. If you purchased a lawnmower with an engine under 30 hp, then you may qualify. I bought two for our commercial real estate. Both are Lazer Z's so I'm in for $75 a mower. The critical period is 1994 to April 12, 2010. Smaller mowers or walk-behind mowers get $35.00. Riders are in the bigger bucks. This is better than Roxanne Conlin's Microsoft lawsuit. What did we get in that one a buck-two-ninety-eight? KCCI has a news clip.
It's interesting that when big companies cut corners for the sake of a buck on the lawsuit end it seems like a lot of money. After all $65 million isn't chump change, but consider how much they must have made on the sales. Our lawnmowers cost us more than $8,000 each. That's a lot of pesos.
You can get more information and the claim form which you can file either online or by snail mail at https://lawnmowerclass.com/. That's lawnmower class dot com.
