It is too early to know if the Singletary collision is a “freak accident”

Posted on Aug 14, 2015

The news report states: The Iowa State Patrol calls the crash a freak accident.

But here is the Summary from the preliminary ISP crash report: VEH 1 WAS SOUTHBOUND ON QUEENS AVE, VEH 1 COLLIDED WITH VEH 2 AT THE INTERSECTION OF QUEENS AND 130TH, BOTH VEHICLES CAME TO REST IN THE WEST DITCH, ACCIDENT REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION, ASSISTED AT THE SCENE BY IOWA DOT, NEW SHARON FIRE & RESCUE, MAHASKA CO SO, MAHASKA CO AMBULANCE OFFICER NAME: TROOPER VANDER WEIL . POST: 13

How can this be a freak accident? The details are not available so drawing that conclusion is premature.

Here is a quote from the Oskaloosa News story.

“According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2002 rock truck driven by Shawn M. Schippers was southboud on Queens Avenue when it collided with a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire at the intersection of Queens and 130th. Both vehicles came to a rest in the west ditch.”

I have two videos posted having to do with wrongful death claims.
