Is the funeral business ripping us all off?

Is this a dying DIY business with a great lay-a-way plan?

This is a good story with a twist. A healthy man has constructed his own coffin. He's saving thousands of dollars by doing it himself. Morbid? Nahhhhh. Hey figure it out the two certainties of life are death and taxes, why not get ahead of the game and for a lower cost.

By the way watch the YouTube video and notice the fine craftsmanship. Really nice. People might think this is a dying business, but Mr. Vollbrecht may be proving them wrong. Maybe out politicians could take some advice from Mr. Vollbrecht; if more thought like he did about saving money, Iowans would be a lot farther ahead of other states. One piece of advice to Pat is don't gain any weight before the day.
