According to the CDC only two Iowans have been affected by the peanut butter food poisoning situation that has involved over 43 states and over 487 people. Illinois has around 6 people affected or poisoned.
“The latest numbers available Friday show that 488 people in 43 states have fallen ill from salmonella typhimurium poisoning that resulted from consuming peanut butter and peanut paste products.
