Iowa Highway 65 Construction Worker Struck and Killed

An Iowa highway construction worker was struck by a semi-truck on Highway 65 north of Liberty center as he was directing traffic in the construction zone.

ABC-5 News report states: Troopers say that the semi was entering a construction zone, which was being reduced to one lane, when the worker, who was directing traffic was struck.

Both the driver and passenger were taken into custody and are being held in the Warren County Jail.
The Iowa State Patrol says that charges are pending.
