I-80 Westbound Fatality

In this accident we have a westbound Kia crossing over the median and crashing head-on into eastbound traffic. A fire ensued and traffic on the Interstate was stopped for 2.5 hours.

Vehicle 1: 1998 Kia being driven by Natesha Rae Youngman, Colfax, Iowa. (19-years-old)

Vehicle 2: 1998 International Semitruck being driven by Wiley Ray Vanommen of Searsboro, Iowa. He is 61.

Vehicle 3: 2009 Honda being driven by Norma Lee Brignon, 66, from Grinnell.

The woman in the Kia died, all others were injured including Marjorie Garrett King and Norma Lee Brignon.

The cause of the accident is listed as a loss of control.
