Four teens killed in Dubuque County crash

Four fourteen-year-old boys died of injuries they received in a Dubuque County accident on the afternoon of Saturday, August 2nd, when a pickup truck ran a stop sign and crashed into the John Deere two-seater they were driving in.  The collision occurred near Epworth, at the intersection of Hartbecke Road and East Pleasant Street.  Joe Connolly, 24, of Holy Cross, was driving the pickup truck, which had a stock trailer attached to it.  Mr. Connolly was uninjured.  Two of his passengers, Joe Lucas, 25, of Epworth, and Elissa Ericson, 21, of Cedar Rapids, received injuries of unknown severity.  The four boys killed were Bryce Wilwert and Mitchell Kluesner of Epworth, Sean Kenneally of Peosta, and Nicholas Kramer of Dyersville.  No charges have yet been filed in this case.
