Failing to Yield to Motorcyclists, Leads to 3rd Crash in Last Month

Posted on Sep 27, 2013

Another motorcycle accident, this one involving a school bus, killed a 34 year-old man, Nicholas E. Neal. From the news report the bus driver had the duty to stop, failed to stop, which caused the motorcycle rider to lay down his bike. Apparently he slid under the bus.

The school bus was going west on East Douglas, which has a stop sign at the intersection with East 29th. Pottorff apparently pulled out in front of Neal, who was going south on East 29th and was not required to stop, police said.

I just wrote about the Van Buren County motorcycle accident on Highway 16 and our client’s case out of Waterloo being similar. In the Black Hawk County case our client had to lay his bike down resulting in knee surgery. In the Polk County case the man died. See Van Buren County Motorcycle Accident on Highway 16.
