Jacqueline Ann Fischer, age 83, was traveling east on Highway 64 on March 7 when her vehicle crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a vehicle traveling in the westbound land. Ms. Fischer, from Lost Nation, Iowa, was not wearing a seat belt and suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, Zachary John Schmidt, and his passenger, Bridgit Jean Moran, were both wearing seat belts and survived the accident with injuries.
