Cooler temperatures haven't meant cooler tempers when a motor vehicle accident occurs.

On July 7^th Kirk Benjamin Moon of Winterset Iowa was ticked for reckless driving and running a red light. However it appears that was the least of the damage done, allegedly Mr. Moon slammed into 85 year old Vera Hunt than put the car into reverse slamming into a utility pole outside of Premier Credit Union and finally hitting several other parked cars.  Steve Flamm who witnessed the crash said that Mr. Moon’s, “truck approached at a high rate of speed and that the driver was irate when he got out”. The passenger in the vehicle with Mr. Moon was taken to Mercy Medical Center and while the individual has not been identified a message left on a Des Moines Register Message board by “Uncooperative” states that  Mr. Moon was yelling at the KCCI team at the scene because they were preventing him from getting to his wife. The MySpace page of a Kirk Moon in Winterset has his wife listed as a Becky Moon and a comment left by Melissa Anderson is shown asking if they are alright.
