A portion of two-story building has collapsed in the downtown area of Toledo, Iowa.  The incident occurred around 10:50 PM on Monday, September 1 at 119 West High Street when an upper portion of the building collapsed into an alley.  The building housed a business on the ground floor and an apartment on the second floor.  It was occupied at the time, but the occupants, a family of four who just moved in last week, managed to escape.  A nearby apartment was evacuated as well.  The cause of the collapse is unclear.
