A tazer to the head can cause seizures.

After being hit, the officer lost consciousness and went into a seizure, foaming at the mouth with his limbs flailing for about a minute.

The officer had no history of head injuries, seizures or neurological conditions, and had a normal developmental history.

Approximately 18 months after being struck by the Taser in the head, researchers indicated that he continued to experience headaches and have trouble concentrating, with neurological exams indicating that he had a mild traumatic brain injury.
