It could depending on when you earned the extra money. Weekly compensation is legally what I call weekly indemnity. The amount you get paid is calculated from the earnings for the 13 weeks just prior to your injury date. Now that's a little bit about luck because if you worked more hours during that 13 week period it means your weekly compensation rate is probably going to be higher than had you worked only your ordinary schedule. Unfortunately like all things in the law there are excpeptions and qualififcation. I'm not going to take the time today to explain that just know you will need to gather your paycheck stubs for the 15 to 20 weeks previous to the date you were injured.

After a worker is injured is when they need the support of their employer the most. But injured workers aren't given a level playing field. The company doctor often times is not helping them and the case manager isn't either. The worker is left alone to fend for themselves and to make mistakes that result in lower benefits or fewer weeks of benefits. Some are sent back to work too soon. There is only one person on your side and that understands this system.
