What is the difference between quadriplegia and paraplegia?
A:
Paraplegia is caused by injury to the spinal chord in the lower back area. It affects the lower limbs and part of the torso. Quadriplegia affects the four limbs and is caused by spinal chord injury in the neck region of the spine. Both are very serious injuries with long term expenses that can be astronomical.
