What can we expect as a settlement if my husband was in a car accident? My husband was in a car accident in June which left his vehicle totaled. His ER bills were around $4000. He has other medical bills from an orthopedic and a chiropractor including lost wages from the initial day of the accident and three days after. He began to have back spasms continuously off and on since. He stopped treatment at both doctors in September. We have a lawyer but they haven't given us an exact number or a ball park and we just want to know what to expect as a settlement. The paralegal said that the medical bills are included in the demand letter as well as the attorney's fees which is 1/3 of the settlement. Realistically, what amount should we expect?
