We help truckers all across the country who come through Iowa and end up in an accident. If we need other lawyers from other states we hire them and it costs you no more than what you would pay us; in other words, we split the fee between us. Yes, absolutely, keeping track of where you look for work is better than trying to remember every place you looked and the details of the job you attempted to get. When a worker is injured and is asking for industrial disability benefits a credible job search demonstrates his/her desire to work and looking for work firms up your credibility as a witness. We can all agree that not working isn't proof of disability. Anyone can sit at home and do nothing. A part of industrial disability is a desire to work and that is demonstrated by getting out looking for a job and by filling out applications for employment. A person who claims to not be able to work, but who sits home on the computer all day or bowls in three leagues during the week isn't industrially disabled; that person is lazy. Last I checked laziness is not an element of industrial disability; quite the opposite.
So maintain a job search list. If you need one see our forms section of the Lombardi Law Firm site.
