Question Detail: Is there a limit to the amount of money you can claim for damages? For instance, how do you determine the amount of compensation for damages in personal injury?
Answer: Yes, the amount has to be reasonable and related to the evidence in the case. There isn't a formula for determining the amount, it's based on how badly you're hurt, wage loss, medical expense and how much the injuries have disrupted your life. No formula so get that out of your head.
