Adair County – This rear-ender may include a drunk driving charge from a criminal standpoint, but from civil standpoint a dram-shop charge may provide the injured people with more compensation. According to the ISP report you have a Honda CRV driven by Patrick Lester from Fort Wayne, Indiana crashing into the back of the Dodge Pickup being driven by Corrie Lambert from Traverse City, Michigan. Also involved is Diane Rullestad of Des Moines in car number 3.

VEH 1 WAS SPEEDING EB WHEN IT REAR ENDED VEH 2, CAUSING VEH 2 TO EXIT RDWY INTO S DITCH, VEH 1 THEN SWERVED LEFT SIDE SWIPING VEH 3, CAUSING BOTH VEH 1 AND 3 TO ENTER MEDIAN INTO CABLE BARRIERS WHERE BOTH VEH CAME TO REST, CHARGES ARE PENDING FOR OWI, CHILD ENDANGERMENT AND MULTIPLE TRAFF CITATIONS TO DRIVER OF VEH 1 AND FURTHER INVESTIGATION IS BEING DONE FOR MORE CHARGES

Marshall County – Railroad Crossing Death – Might be a claim for the deceased drive, then again probably not. It all depends on evidence as to how long the intersection had been blocked and the sobriety of the person who died. Kyle Quick, 62 died in the collision.

VEHICLE 1 WAS NORTHBOUND ON 6TH ST, WENT AROUND THE ACTIVATED RAILROAD CROSSING ARMS AND WAS STRUCK BY TRAIN, DRIVER WAS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL, LATER FLOWN TO DES MOINES HOSPITAL AND DIED FROM INJURIES, ACCIDENT UNDER INVESTIGATION
