Wind farm workers are higher risk for injury and death from fatigue

If you don't wear the right kind of safety gear any occupation can kill you. It's no different than working on a wind farm. One news report has seven worker deaths occurring between 2006 and 2010. There are two ways a worker can get up into the top of the windmill to work on the turbine. One he climbs a ladder and the other is a two-person lift. They don't all have lifts so to do the work in some the worker must climb many steps. The Iowa worker was killed by falling inside the structure; not outside. Still he needed a safety harness that worked correctly.
