Steve Lombardi, Attorney

I’ve been following rollover accidents now for a couple of years and writing about the causes and the effects on passengers. Many of these collisions involve a single car and driver. Passengers seem to pay the price for the driver’s mistakes and of course seat belts do save lives, but not always.

Speed kills – that goes without saying.

Good tires help keep the shiny side up.

Paying attention is a must for the driver and drinking and driving (aka drunk driving) never seems to be the right thing to do.

Below are several rollover accidents on I-35; mostly from Kansas City.

If you need to speak with a lawyer about your own accident give me a call and I’ll see if we can help you. I can’t promise you we will agree to take your case, because first you need to be interviewed and the facts discussed. Some cases don’t require a lawyer and we simply offer direction to avoid a long and drawn out claim’s process with the insurance companies that are involved. Other cases scream for immediate attention and action. I will say, that if you have a large or serious personal injury, including a fatality or multiple fatalities then by all means you need a lawyer’s help; so don’t delay calling us.

Many personal injury accidents involving cars, trucks and motorcycles end up having both a personal injury accident and workers’ compensation claim. These aren’t the easiest cases to leverage a settlement because there are wc liens that need to be addressed in the pi case. Even lawyers can screw these cases up. So if you hire a lawyer make sure they know what they are doing and if you’re a lawyer with such a case and don’t really have the experience to know the ropes, then admit it to yourself and either refer it outright or refer with the idea you’d like to share in the fee for generating the case referral. Either way the important considerations are always the value to the client who is the injured person or the surviving spouse and children. (515-222-1110 or sdlom[email protected])
