Both Skidmore and Grant Have Insurance Claims

In this accident we have a truck coming to an intersection where, as you already know, the driver is required to stop. He doesn’t. Hits a trailer being towed by a truck and sends the trailer into the opposing lane of traffic; where it then strikes another car, killing the driver. The driver is from Springdale, Arkansas. She’s a 33-year-old woman reported to be KALEIA SHANA GRANT. Terrible accident, but one we’ve handled many times. An estate would need to be opened to handle the case and to settle the wrongful death claim. If the person that died had no will, then an administrator would be appointed by the Court. If she had a will, then the executor named in the will would handle the paperwork and make all of the important decisions.

Here are the articles from the news sources.

Victim Names Released in Marshall County Semis and Pickup Crash, WHO.TV.com

“One of the semis was a Tyson truck that was hauling meat, which spilled out on to the road.”

Two Dead in Marshall County Crash Involving Semis and Pickup

“Officials say 32-year-old Brandon Paul Skidmore and 33-year-old Kaleia Shana Grant were killed in the crash at the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 96.”

But there is more. Skidmore would have a workers’ compensation claim brought by his dependents. That claim takes to the Iowa Industrial Commissioner, not the Iowa District Court.

We’ve handled many of these cases involving either the car/truck accident claims or the workers' compensation case.
