Marion County, Iowa – November 15, 2016 at 17:36, which is 5:36 PM. We have a 22-year-old driving and it appears there is a 33 year-old passenger. This Mercury Tracer is heading west on Highway 163 at about the 42 mile marker when for some unexplained reason it leaves the road on the south side of the hard surface. It rolls several times, and apparently the occupants weren’t wearing their seat belts. During the roll they get ejected and the older one is killed. According to the ISP report, the driver, Sasha Rae Zinn from Newton is killed. Liz Heady from Chillicothe is injured and was taken to the hospital in Pella.
Where do we start on this one? Understanding causation will require a statement of the passenger and I’m sure the insurance company, insuring the driver Liz Heady, will zoom right in to figure out why the driver lost control. Of course this insurance company is not interested in paying if the passenger has any potential to be at-fault herself for the accident. And so she must be careful about what she says and how she says it. Say too much, and poof your claim goes away. It’s really that simple.
