Teen Pedestrian Hit on Blairs Ferry Road

An accident between a 13-year-old pedestrian and a car driven by a 25-year-old driver on Blairs Ferry Road in Cedar Rapids sent the kid to the hospital. Here is a quote from KCRG’s story:
“Deputies said the teen was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids for what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Optima, Samantha Eggers, 25, of Cedar Rapids was not injured in the accident.

Officers noted that stretch of roadway has minimal lighting. The accident remains under investigation.”
