Spring Safety Reminders
Warm temperatures and spring break means motorcycles, bicycles, and children playing in the streets. That means car drivers need to slow down and be aware of these potential dangers.
Motorcycle drivers and cars should be aware of each other’s presence and leave enough space between their vehicles. Helmets are the difference between living your life after an accident that results in a traumatic brain injury (TBI) or death, reducing your risk by 1/3. In addition, 80% of crashes involving motorcycles result in injury or death.
Bicycle riders too need to be aware of the risks of not wearing helmets. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) advises, “Protect your brian, save your life”.
Finally, remember, “Keep kids alive, drive 25”, when driving through neighborhoods. Kids will be kids, and they aren’t always paying attention when balls roll into the road.
Have a safe spring and summer from Lombardi Law Firm.
