Should alleged criminals be able to spell?

I've been away from the blog for about two weeks; frankly I've needed a break. BURN OUT! I'm going to stop The Edict, simply because writing and thinking so much about personal injury and what is wrong with the court system and how people drive is starting to get to me. As a lawyer having working in the trenches for 30+ years I've reached a point where whatever advise given has been given a thousand times and there is a point of seemingly no return. I'm there.

This week's dumb criminal goes to the person claiming to be a blind Vietnam vet who claimed to have something to do with DeBuke, Iowa. If you're going to claim to know something about Iowa or to have some connection to Iowa you should at least know how to spell. The town is Dubuque, the Kingdom of Dubuque. The AG's office is investigating. The Iowa Business Record sent me this story link.

Oh yeah, speaking of dumb, have you read about John Edwards and the criminal indictment?
