Seriously Injured Passengers Beware of the Underinsured Insurance Adjuster

The two passengers in this crash were seriously injured. Roger Hickerson and Ashley Hahn, both were taken to the hospital. (Mercy in Des Moines and Carroll Hospital) Hickerson must have sustained very serious injuries as he was lifeflighted to Mercy. The driver was a 19-year-old woman and the report shows the administration of blood tests for alcohol content. The driver died in the collision. The negligence evaluation will likely focus on issue such as driving under the influence (if any), speed, control and look out on the part of the driver. Additional issues will include how much insurance coverage and just how much insurance coverage there is and complicity of the passengers in any drinking of alcohol. If the insurance on the car isn't high enough to cover the passenger's injuries each will have to file a claim with their own auto insurance company, up to the limits they have purchased, which means their own insurance company is not their friend or on their side. They should be leery about trusting their own insurance company adjuster and giving a statement before speaking with a lawyer. Enough said.
V1 WAS WESTBOUND ON 170TH ST AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. V1 WENT OFF ONTO RIGHT SHOULDER AND THE DRIVER STEERED HARD TO THE LEFT. V1 LOST CONTROL AND ROLLED SEVERAL TIMES OFF THE ROADWAY TO THE LEFT. THE DRIVER AND ONE REAR PASSENGER WERE EJECTED. THE DRIVER OF V1 WAS KILLED FROM INJURIES SUSTAINED IN THE CRASH. THE TWO PASSENGERS RECIEVED SERIOUS INJURIES. ...
