I write about Iowa interstate highway accidents (I-80, I-35, I-235, I-380 mostly) because people need to know how complex they can be to handle. In the city most of the accident participants are from the city, but on the Interstate the participants are many times simply driving through Iowa, don't live here and have no connection to Iowa. On the Interstate the Iowa State Patrol has to clear the road as quickly as possible, meaning the vehicles are going to be moved fast. And moved to where? Trucking companies can own, lease and trade trailers and tractors and that makes knowing who should pay a labyrinth of confusion.
