Semi-Truck Accidents in Iowa Require Lawyers with Connections

I write about Iowa interstate highway accidents (I-80, I-35, I-235, I-380 mostly) because people need to know how complex they can be to handle. Putting one of these cases together isn't like a city intersection collision. In the city most of the accident participants are from the city, but on the Interstate the participants are many times simply driving through Iowa, don't live here and have no connection to Iowa. That can raise problems with serving the lawsuit papers on them, locating witnesses for interviews, locating the damaged trucks to photograph and where to file the case. On the Interstate the Iowa State Patrol has to clear the road as quickly as possible, meaning the vehicles are going to be moved fast. And moved to where? Truckers, who have done something wrong, like texting while driving, will simply disappear and avoid service of process for years, to avoid answering questions. Trucking companies can own, lease and trade trailers and tractors and that makes knowing who should pay a labyrinth of confusion. I've taken the time to establish relationships with lawyers in Minnesota, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Illinois and many other states where if we need their help for legal reasons, it's there. Here in Iowa I've practiced for over 30 years in the areas of workers' compensation and personal injury. Car, truck and motorcycle accidents are the main staple of what we do. We got into the area of workers' compensation because it is an important part of personal injury work as well as my having grown up with hourly wage earners, and believe in helping workers that are injured and need my help. Steve Lombardi, Attorney

If you or an interested person are in a collision and you would like the crash analyzed you'll need to contact Attorney Lombardi. This may or may not result in an attorney-client relationship and simply asking for a review does not in and of itself create such a relationship. If you ask and Mr. Lombardi thinks you have a case he will say so and provide an agreement for representation that then creates an attorney-client relationship. The bottom line is that Mr. Lombardi has to agree to take you on as a client; the first step of course is asking him. You've got two ways: telephone 515-222-1110 or email sent to sdlombardi@aol.com.
