PT Cruiser Driver Loss of Control

Today we'll cover four personal injury accident collisions.

In the first one we have two injured people from Fairfield and Burlington. The driver is the 24-year-old man and the passenger is 48. There's not much to say that hasn't already been said; we need only ask why he lost control of the 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser.

In the second collision, which by the way is a head-on crash by crossing the center line we have the same question. Why did you lose control of your car? Location is Highway 6 about three quarters of a mile east of 244 mile marker east of Marengo. The 22-year-old driver of the offending Toyota was Nan Ma. The other driver, Michelle Allie was taken by air ambulance to the University of Iowa. These head-on collisions can be deadly. The time of this one was 10:20 a.m. on November 6, 2010 in Iowa County. The more of these I read the more cautious I'm getting while driving. Especially with cars and trucks coming at me; these give me nightmares. That poor Mrs. Allie you have to wonder how screwed up her life is going to get because of this young driver coming across the center line and hitting her. In the accident on I-80 involving the Canadian family I'm told there is a minimum insurance limit of a mere $20,000. Can you imagine having only $20,000 of coverage and going to the hospital by air ambulance? That flight alone probably costs $10,000. In this day-and-age why are we allowing less than $100,000 to $250,000 of auto insurance? This is one of those cases where some-isn't better than none.

Next we head to Wright County on northbound Highway 69 on my mother's birthday November 5, 2010. The accident report will have to be corrected in its final version. The vehicle numbers don't appear to be correct. We have two Chevies', a pickup and a passenger car heading northbound on Highway 69. The one in front appears to be towing a propane tank, the one behind rear ends it. As they would say in Rhode Island: Baddabing-baddaong. You gotta keep your eyes on the road. It's as simple as that.

This last collision is out of Lee County on Highway 61 north of Fort Madison. The driver of the offending vehicle is heading in the wrong direction and the other driver is a police officer that puts his car in the path of the offending driver. The report indicates the driver was suffering from a medical condition.
