Next up is Pottawattamie County on October 28, 2016 a single vehicle accident, a Harley Davidson Motorcycle being driven by a 57-year-old man from Council Bluffs. You might think because this is a single-vehicle accident that this is his fault but you would be wrong. As the Trooper describes it, a piece of asphalt that had broken loose from the side of the road came to rest near the center of the off-ramp. When either he struck it, or attempted to avoid it, he lost control and was thrown from the bike. This might be the fault of the State of Iowa, but without more evidence one may never know. Rider was Chris Mathison, 57 from C.B. [3]
