Manufacturing methamphetamine and your neighbor's safety

QUESTION: If I’m not cooking meth why should I care that my neighbor is?

ANSWER: Simply put because the explosion and fire he/she causes can injure or kill you.

On January 15, 2010 I posted Is Your Neighbor's Cooking Meth a Danger to You?.

That day I showed a few video clips of the explosive potential of cooking methamphetamine. Pretty graphic stuff if you ask me. Well low and behold here in Iowa a few days later is a story written by MANDI LAMB of the Newton Daily News about a garage fire and the police arrested the man inside that was burned on suspicion of cooking methamphetamine.

"Following an investigation by the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Drug Task Force, 29-year-old Travis Brody Gulling was charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, a class B felony, and three counts of possession of precursors (ethyl ether, ephedrine and lithium) for manufacturing methamphetamine, all class D felonies.

According to a news release issued by the drug task force, authorities responded to a report of a garage fire at 8:16 p.m. on Jan. 2 at 1800 W. Fourth St. N. #3. The fire was extinguished, with minimal damage done to the garage, and drug task force members were called to the scene after items associated with meth manufacturing were found."

And this is the point I’m trying to make. Minding your own business may not be in your best interest. What if this was going on in an apartment building where you lived? Is it in your best interest to ignore it or to call authorities and get it stopped?

You be the judge, I rest my case.

Know what to look for and when to suspect its being cooked in your hood.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE MAIN INGREDIENTS:

  1. Farm chemicals are one ingredient of methamphetamine.
  2. Cold or sinus medicines from over-the-counter are an ingredient.
  3. Battery ingredients are an ingredient.

It’s all about dopamine. Well cover dopamine on another day.

Injury - Property Defect-Animals

If I hit a Farmers Cow going down the road am I responsible?

I have a neighbor who has several dogs (over the legal limit for our state) and does not always keep them on a leash. I have made several complaints to "Animal Control" through our police department, but nothing ever gets done about this. I have to walk to the house next door to them to drop my baby off at the sitter. If one of their dogs attacks me do I have grounds to sue, and if so, who would I sue?

I fell in a manhole and the city of des moines and waterworks are fighting who will take the blame do i have a good case?
