Load falls off of truck on highway and causes an accident
This type of accident is more common than drivers can appreciate. We’ve recently been called about an accident that happened on I-80 when a ladder fell off of a truck. That driver ran away from the accident after collisions began to happen. People are looking for this driver and if you saw the accident and can provide details of the driver or his license plate please call me. 515-222-1110 or sdlombardi@aol.com.Getting back to the accident at hand it’s in Wisconsin on Highway 41 near Neenah. It’s described as a custom fiberglass brine tank that was headed to Iowa, falling off the rear of the pickup truck carrying the load. It weighed one-an-a-half tons. Another pickup truck hit the tank then collided with the truck hauling it; after which both trucks caught on fire. Both drivers were injured. There is video at this link. The driver hauling the load was cited for failing to properly secure the load.
