Across the country, communities are setting up Little Free Libraries where people place books in an outdoor box and others can come and read them for free.  Communities in Iowa, such as Beaverdale, Ankeny, and Urbandale, are now participating in this movement and many people are taking advantage of the program.  People can take a book and replace it with another, or just sit and read near the box.  Many people enjoy the fact that it broadens their social circles, as they begin conversations with others using the libraries.  This program encourages reading by providing a free and easily accessible source of books and reading materials for all age groups.
