Johnson County Accident – Cresting a hill with head-on crash
I’ve seen this type of accident quite a few times in my 30 years of managing car accident litigation. We have two cars approaching the crest of a hill from different directions and either one or both are either over or too close to the center line. They crest the hill and we have a head-on collision with catastrophic injuries. In this case a person died. Every driver is under a legal duty or obligation to stay on their own side of the road; and when you don’t and an accident occurs you’re liable. It’s that simple. Photo of the location.
Cameron Lynn Davis, age 38, from Wellman, Iowa, driving a 2005 Dodge Ram.
Jennifer Lynn Hussman, age 34 from Wellman, Iowa, driving a 2005 Chrysler.
Davis was injured and Hussman died.
